I am super excited to be joining my second craft fair in season. It may not seem like a lot but it is super hard to find the right weekend to go as a single mom with little one. Between the little one and all my craft fair stuff we all can’t fit in one car, so I need someone else to go with me. Not only to help with the kids but to help set up, I can’t get the tent up alone. Not only that but I have found it difficult to find craft fairs to join that are not expensive, yes we live in an area where they cost up to $1000 for a booth. So that is way to much for our small business, right now, I am hoping someday to get there.
I am preparing for this craft fair in a total different town (Granby, MA), with more money and more kids. I am hoping this time I will get more leads and sales, of course. For this town I am told they are richer and love to spoil their children, sounds good to me. So I have made 4 mermaid tale blankets so far (I didn’t sale them last time), Pattern link here. I want to make 2 more blankets and some more hair bows (so I can have a buy 2 get 1 free sale) and maybe 2 more dolls (a unisex doll and a boy). Now my problem is time management, I spend way too much time promoting my blog than anything else right. So I need to remind my self to get off the computer and get to work.
Believe or not, there is a lot of prep that go in a craft fair, there is a great deal of stuff needed besides your product. You can see from my previous post with a check list – HERE. Thank goodness I don’t have to do all that because I still have it from the last time. But there are still a few more things to do such as make a QR codes, sales signs, and get everything ready and packed up. So I am going to make sure I eat lots of protein for the next 2 week, LOL. I also need to figure out a thing to display at least on mermaid tale blanket, they a huge so I don’t want to take up a lot of room. Maybe a photo of Nana is hers, like on my blog post and hang one up.
Wish me luck!! and any advice is welcome.
